IG Japan To Offer CFDs On SpaceX Stock

IG Securities, the Japanese subsidiary of global electronic trading group IG Group, has announced plans to offer contracts for difference, or CFDs, on SpaceX stock, as investor interest builds ahead of the company’s expected market debut.

The brokerage said it plans to introduce SpaceX under the ticker SPCX, allowing clients to trade leveraged stock CFDs from the first day of listing. The move is expected to give traders in Japan exposure to one of the most anticipated initial public offerings in recent years.

SpaceX, the US-based space technology and satellite communications company led by Elon Musk, is reportedly preparing to list on the Nasdaq market on June 12, 2026. Reuters reported that the company is targeting a valuation of around $1.75 trillion, which would make the listing one of the largest IPOs in history if completed as planned.

The company is best known for its rocket launch services, reusable spacecraft technology, and Starlink satellite internet business. Its public listing is expected to attract major attention from retail and institutional investors, particularly as demand continues to grow for exposure to space infrastructure, satellite communications, and advanced technology companies.

By offering CFDs on SpaceX stock, IG Securities aims to provide traders with a way to speculate on the share price movement without owning the underlying stock. CFD products allow traders to take positions on both rising and falling prices, although they also involve leverage and can carry significant risk.

The planned launch reflects IG Securities’ continued focus on expanding access to major global market opportunities for Japanese traders. High-profile IPOs often generate strong trading activity, and SpaceX’s expected listing is likely to become a key event for global financial markets.

If the IPO proceeds on schedule, IG Securities’ SpaceX CFD offering could begin from the first trading day, giving clients early access to price movements around the listing. However, final details remain subject to market conditions, listing confirmation, and the official IPO timetable.

The announcement highlights the growing demand for innovative trading products linked to major technology companies and global investment themes. For IG Securities, the addition of SpaceX CFDs would strengthen its product lineup and position the broker to capture investor interest around one of the most closely watched listings of 2026.
